We meet:

Alternating weekly on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon at 2.00 pm in members’ homes.

Coordinator:

Sue Shapland, telephone: 01794 521571

Our Activities:

The group numbers about 25 members although most members do not attend every meeting, usually there are sufficient to form two tables of four players. We also have a Christmas lunch that enables every one in the group to meet those who play on different days.

About Mah Jong:

Mah Jong is a Chinese game played with tiles by three or, more usually, four people. Strategy is both offensive and defensive: to complete a winning hand as quickly as possible, to block other players by not discarding tiles useful to them, and to build a high-scoring hand. The game involves skill, strategy and memory, luck can be important as well.
